St. Theresa's College, Quezon City - [Beyond Books]

"This world demands the qualities of youth: not a time of life but a state of mind, a temper of the will, a quality of imagination, a predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease."

Robert F. Kennedy, Day of Affirmation Address

Fromwe learned the - how to take care for it, to care for everything that inhabits it, and to live in it.  From 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM, we lived and breathed school.  We liked some classes, others we abhorred.  But we stuck to it knowing that beyond the and at the balance beam, there was joy dancing to "itik-itk" and "binuyugan."  Who thought that our typewriting class would pay off at the advent of .  Well, maybe not . . . but it's one anecdote we can tell our (soon-to-be) kids.  STC showed us the way to be a well-educated, cultured, disciplined, hardworking, socially-aware and service-oriented citizen.  That is why we are called Theresians.

Here's a walk down memory lane . . . ENJOY!

You and You Alone

We pave our own future
And seek our own death
We can become what we dream of
Or become what we dread

No one can push us where to go
No one but ourselves
Nothing can hinder us from our goal
Nothing but creations of our own

You are capable of reaching it
If you really will
Your future is there for you
No time to stand still

You are what you make of yourself
Others are not to blame
For nothing outside can steal what you have
DETERMINATION - you alone can claim

Live for what you lived for
Set your aims right
Reach the finish line
With satisfaction and pride

If you believe in your dream - BEGIN.

~ Grace Colet, The Theresian '89-'90

I was rummaging through my endless clutter when I came across these precious layettes.  It's been nearly 9 years since I have sewn the last stitch on these pieces of baby clothing. Every scallop was painstakingly done into perfection, as anyone can attest. We reviled doing it but we're pleased to finish such an unforgiving task. This was Home Economics at its finest!

I wonder if Theresians are still subjected to this kind of project?
